[Visitors] Message from UUFT President

To all members and friends of the UUFT,

It is with great pleasure and honor that I announce that at today’s UUFT Congregational Meeting the  present voting members of the UUFT voted 71 - 0 by paper ballot to commence a Capital Campaign to raise funds to expand the Fellowship.

A Statement of Needs for the Fellowship, a summary of the Feasibility Study and two schematic plans were reviewed at the meeting. 

After the vote Building Committee Co-chairs Phil Roudebush and Stan Williams were introduced as were Fundraising Committee Co-chairs Janine Silsby and Duane Johnson. 

We have a target fundraising goal of $750,000.  Phil and Joanne Roudebush have already committed to a lead pledge of $150,000.

The desired time frame is to execute the Capital Campaign and develop the project design this Spring with a groundbreaking in the Summer of 2008.  Construction should hopefully be complete by Spring of 2009.

This challenge will need the assistance of all Fellowship members and friends to become a reality.

On behalf of the current leadership of the UUFT I thank you all for your commitment to this exciting and challenging project.  We will endeavor to keep all of you fully informed throughout this process.
