About UUFT
UUFT VISION
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Topeka will be a spiritual home and a beacon of liberal religious expression in Topeka.
UUFT MISSION
To encourage and support personal religious journeys and ethical living by providing a community that consistently embraces and applies the Unitarian Universalist Principles.
Unitarian Universalism is a faith with many paths, and many sources, allowing each person to discern their own truth. We require no conformity to a creed but are guided by our Eight Principles:
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person
- Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
- The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
- The building of a diverse, multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.
Our principles are stated in a different and more expanded version in the UU Values recently ratified by the Unitarian Universalist Association.
UUFT PURPOSES:
- Enhance the experience of spirituality
- Facilitate the connection of individuals
- Provide a medium in which people can make a helpful connection between the spiritual and material worlds

- Offer its members a sacred space and zone of comfort
